I’m Jacqui

Jacqui Avis, Equine Management Consultant - riding a horse

Leading consultant in equine management for dude and guest ranches, private horse owners and any type of equine program, either large or small. My journey in the equine industry has been marked by a deep passion for first-class horse care, and honed through extensive travel and study. My academic background in equine management in England, specializing in training and breeding thoroughbred racehorses, laid the foundation for my diverse career. From Australia to France to all over The United States, I have been blessed to work for, and learn from, some of the best of the best!

“Jacqui’s leadership, business acumen, and networking skills are invaluable to any equine operation.”

In 2014, I founded Drifter’s Hearts of Hope, a successful horse rescue that has transformed the lives of over 740 horses through comprehensive care, including nutrition, veterinary care, hoof and dental care with a focus on mental well-being.

In 2017, I founded the initiative, The Annie Project. This program was a collaboration between DHOH, the CDGRA and C Lazy U Ranch to offer dude and guest ranches a better option for their retiring horses.

I am also a board member of the Colorado Unwanted Horse Alliance, a 501c3 non-profit whose mission is to reduce the number of unwanted horses through collaboration and education.
